Staging A Home

Staging A Home

When staging a home: clean, simple, and consistant is key!

Highlight your home's strengths, downplay its weaknesses and appeal to the greatest possible pool of prospective buyers.

Follow these simple steps:

Get rid of clutter!

Position furniture to make the most of the room's space.  Pushing furniture against walls doesn't always make a room feel bigger.  Group furniture together so that the flow of the room is obvious.

Transform odd spaces.  You may have a space that is your clutter area.  Turn that space into a small office space, or scrapbooking area.

Home lighting: One of the things that make staged homes look so warm and inviting is great lighting.  Make sure each of your fixtures has high wattage bulbs so each space looks larger.

Three is company...stage spaces with groupings of three items.

Neutral, neutral, neutral.  Repaint that bedroom that has fairies on the wall, or that basement with sports logos.  Keep your paint neutral.
